Resin Patio Paving in Stow on the Wold
Resin paving makes a brilliant choice for any patio or pathway in Stow on the Wold. You’ll find it comes in a lovely range of colours, offers a textured grip underfoot, and delivers exceptional durability compared to many other patio surfacing options available.
Our resin surfacing experts have carried out numerous resin-surfaced patio installations and can tailor any patio space to suit your specific needs in Stow on the Wold.
What Is Resin Surfacing?
We blend natural aggregates (usually stone particles between 2-6mm in size) with clear polyurethane resin, then apply the mixture onto a properly prepared base using trowels. After the curing process finishes, you end up with a solid surface where the individual stones stay visible yet are firmly bound together, producing an appealing textured finish that’s lovely to walk on.
The resin-bound method is permeable, meaning rainwater drains straight through the surface instead of pooling on top. This is crucial for meeting drainage regulations and practical use, as you won’t get puddles forming after a downpour.
New Resin Patio Installations
When building new patios, we begin by laying a porous concrete foundation. This creates the stable base that resin surfacing requires whilst maintaining permeability through the entire structure.
The depth varies depending on what you’ll be using it for. Patios generally need 100mm of porous concrete along with a suitable sub-base, all constructed with proper gradients for drainage, despite the surface being permeable.
Resurfacing Existing Patio With Resin
Older concrete patios that remain structurally sound but appear tired are perfect candidates for resin overlay treatments. We carefully prepare the existing surface, removing dirt, fixing cracks, and applying primer to guarantee strong adhesion.
We not only provide excellent value for resin surfacing, but we also offer alternatives such as porcelain tiled patio installations in Stow on the Wold, sandstone patios and more.

After getting several quotes for a new drive I decided to go with Summit. As well as a very competitive quote, I am also very pleased with the quality of the work undertaken, and the care taken during construction.
Summit Driveways have recently installed a new driveway at my property. Rob visited to discuss my requirements and answer any questions that I had. He supplied a detailed quote that was reasonably priced. Given the current hot weather the team were hard working. They arrived promptly and left the site tidy at the end of each day. A professional company who I highly recommend.
